Tasting - "Fox Hollow - Cabernet Sauvignon"

Name: Fox Hollow - Cabernet Sauvignon
Variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: California
Country: USA
Year: 2012
Price: $5.95

Vintage Cellar Tasting Notes:
Rich and supple with juicy plum, blackberry and chocolate flavors and a pleasant sense of sweetness backed up by good acidity and moderate tannins. Offers early complexity and charm with real richness and depth.

Personal Tasting Notes:
This red wine also had a very strong and definite cherry tone to it in both the aroma and flavor of the wine.  This wine had a dark red color and complex, full bodied flavor although both the color and the flavor were not as deep as the Chicken and Turkey wine.  I definitely tasted a dark chocolate flavor to the wine.  I also found this wine to be a bit dry for my tastes although not as dry as the Chicken and Turkey, Cotes du Rhone.  Had a more mild less lingering taste on the palate with a smoother less acidic flavor.

I tasted this wine on its own with no food but I think it would go well with steak or perhaps pork.
