Vintage Cellar Tasting Notes:
This White Zinfandel has a beautiful pink salmon color and crisp acidity. The wine shows juicy fruit flavors of strawberry and cherry, with a tangy sweet finish. Pairs well with mild cheeses, crab cakes, and spicy Asian cuisine.
Personal Tasting Notes:
This wine was my favorite of the five tasted this week. However, my impressions of this wine were influenced by tasting the previous wine the 2008 Ilurce Tempranillo, as the dryness and linger of that wine was still detectable while tasting the Zinfandel. This wine had a floral scent with possibly minty tone. The Zinfandel was delightfully sweet but not too strongly so, also there was a very short linger on the palate, with flavors of red apples and strawberries.
