Vintage Cellar Tasting Notes:

A blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Carignan. Deep red garnet color with purple highlights. Intense nose of morello cherry, tobacco and liquorice. Good structure on the palate with lots of fruits and a long fruity and spicy finish. A true delight.

Personal Tasting Notes:
This red wine had a definite cherry tone to it although it was more detectable in the scent and aroma of the wine than it was in the actual flavor of the wine.  Additionally, this wine had a dark red color and complex, full bodied flavor.  I also detected a chocolatey taste to the wine although definitely more of a dark chocolate and more bitter flavor.  I did not actually enjoy this wine very much and found it very dry.

I tasted this wine on its own with no food but I think it would go well with steak.
