Vintage Cellar Tasting Notes:
This Chardonnay’s
aromas of tropical pineapple, crisp green apple and citrus are supported by
underlying nuances of vanilla. The finish is smooth and creamy yet balanced
with enough acidity to accentuate the vibrant fruit flavors with a hint of
orange blossoms.Personal Tasting Notes:
This wine had a stronger aroma to it than the Fontana Candida Frascati wine did. I did detect a scent of apples although I felt like they were more golden delicious than green apples as described in the provided tasting notes. I also felt that this wine had a sweeter and more mild flavor with a longer lingering on the palate. Finally, this wine while sweet did have a tangy more acidic mid-taste which was then balanced by the smoother finish.
I did not have the wine with food although I believe that it might have gone well with some seafood or perhaps roast chicken.
