Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Region: California
Country: USA

Vintage Cellar Tasting Notes:
Rich, fruit forward cherry flavors, soft tannins, a medium body and a smooth velvety finish. Pairs well with creamy soups, salmon, and savory pork dishes.

Personal Tasting Notes:
This was a dark red wine with a rather cheesy scent to it.  This wine not only smelled of a crumbly kind of cheese like Parmesan or Asiago but also tasted a bit like it.  This was very interesting and would obviously be very good to pair with some cheese then. Additionally, the wine was smooth but had a very sharp and spicy finish to it.  Further it had a long lingering flavor that was reasonably rich and full bodied.  I also detected the flavors of dark cherries but not as strong as the cheese flavor.

I tried this wine without food although I think cheese would be an excellent accompaniment.
