Vintage Cellar Tasting Notes:

Dark purple. Zesty, youthfully medicinal aromas of dark berries, licorice and cracked pepper. Juicy and fresh, with smooth texture and sweet cherry and spice flavors framed by dusty tannins. Finishes with a suggestion of slightly roasted fruits and good clinging persistence. Delivers a lot of power and richness for the money.

Personal Tasting Notes:

This wine had a rather dark purple plum color. This wine had a very strong petrol aroma and flavor on the palate. Also it was a very dry wine with a very long linger which actually influenced my taste of the next wine which was a white zinfandel. The zinfandel would probably have been very sweet but the dryness and linger of this wine was still detectable through it. I further tasted flavors of spice and black pepper.
